Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are best, especially for diagnostics and bigger jobs. Call (201) 652-4818 or use the appointment form.

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Where are you?

209 S. Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450, on South Maple between Spring / Union and Gilbert. Map and directions.

What cars do you work on?

All makes. Domestic, Asian, and European — including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota, and Nissan.

Are you a CARFAX Top-Rated shop?

Yes. Richter’s is a CARFAX Top-Rated Service Center. That rating comes from customer reviews.

Are you AAA approved?

Yes. We are an AAA Approved Auto Repair facility. AAA members receive 10% off labor, up to $75. Show your card at check-in. Not combined with other discounts.

Do you sell tires?

Yes. We are a Cooper Tire dealer and carry major brands. We mount, balance, and align. Tire service.

Do you do brakes without upselling?

Yes. If the pads can wait, we send you home. That has been the shop since 1935. Brake service.

Is there a warranty?

Most parts and labor are covered for 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Can I get a rental car?

Yes. Local rental cars are available at discounted rates while we have your vehicle.

Do you inspect used cars before I buy?

Yes. Bring the car in for a pre-purchase inspection before you sign.

How do I leave a review?

Open richtersauto.com/writeareview/ or ask Chris for the card at the desk.

Will you try to sell me work I don’t need?

No. If the brakes can wait, we send you home.

How long have you been in Ridgewood?

George Richter opened the shop in 1935. We are still on South Maple Avenue.

Who is at the desk?

Chris at the front desk. Dave manages the shop. Paul Rennie owns it. Paul Centineo is an ASE / Nissan Certified Master Technician.
